The Mushroom!
A mushroom is what you give to the best answer to your question. The mushroom serves many purposes:
- Tells the person who answered that you really appreciated their answer. That should be reason enough.
- Moves that answer to the top of the answer list so everyone can see the best answer first.
- Tells us (Questionland) that you got a good answer which is important for us so we can ensure people are getting answers that they are happy with.
- Improves the reputation of that person who answered (which helps people more easily identify answers by the most reputable participants).
- Creates an elitist group of know-it-alls that look down at everyone else.
So please, go back to the questions you asked and serve up some mushrooms for the deserving. Here the easy way to do that:
- Go to “My Page” (i.e. your profile)
- Click on the “Questions” filter on the green bar
- Click on the first question in the list. Look at the answers. Pick the best. Mushroom it!
- Repeat
